Singles Condition Guide (In-Hand Singles)

Last updated: 04/02/26

We sell a small selection of in-hand singles. Condition is assessed conservatively under strong lighting.

Our condition scale

  • NM (Near Mint): Minimal whitening, clean surface, sharp corners, no major defects.

  • LP (Lightly Played): Minor whitening or light surface wear, still binder-worthy.

  • MP (Moderately Played): Noticeable wear (whitening, scratches, edge wear).

  • HP/Damaged: Heavy wear, dents/creases, water damage, or structural defects.

Important notes

  • Centering is not considered a “damage” factor by default (unless extreme).

  • Small factory marks/cut imperfections can occur even on pack-fresh cards.

  • If a card has a notable defect, we aim to disclose it in the listing.

Photos

  • If listings use representative images, the listing will state so.

  • If you want photos of a specific card before buying, contact us at shopfirstedition@gmail.com (when possible).

Singles returns

Singles are final sale for change of mind. If a single is not as described or arrives damaged, we will work with you on a remedy consistent with ACL.
